A community interest company (CIC) is a type of company introduced by the United Kingdom government in 2005 under the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act 2004, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good.
Everyone is welcome to join Brenchley21, simply express your interest using the form below. You need to be over 18 and have a connection to Brenchley or Matfield, either because you live or work in one of the Parishes or you have a child that attends Brenchley & Matfield primary school or Brenchley preschool. You also need to have an email address for communication.
You will be contacted, via email, about members meetings and other opportunities to get involved. Each member has a potential liability to the company, capped at a maximum of £1, should the company go insolvent whilst you are a member or within 12 months of you leaving. All members have one one vote.
